Purpose / Function
To provide a safe space for assassins to train and to retreat after a mission.
Alterations
Very few alterations were made to the building after it was built. Though after it was rediscovered, it was cleaned, repaired, and some items, such as the door, were replaced with more durable material.
Drystan discovered the Tenets/Byword of an Assassin and chisled it onto stone. Some was lost and he changed the Byword's wording a bit to make it fit with the Darktide Defenders better.
Architecture
The outside is made of faded red and black wood. The bottom half is a rectangle with a slotted wood railing running in front of it. The roof is a triangle of brown-tiled arch that hangs over the second story walkway.
The inside reflects the ouside with a rectangular main room, a peaked ceiling, a balcony with stairs, and various rooms for sleeping. Kitchen is on the second floor.
History
The making of this building was the first step in the Jalan Tribe survivors need for vengeance. Completion of the building saw the official founding of the Order of Jalan.
Revenge is best served from the shadows.It lasted over a hundred seasonal cycles, making it a great retreat and training center. When the Order of Jalan was disolved in 2708 Before Civil War, the members resisted. After the last leader was killed, the reminaing member now Abahin killed the King who disolved the Order and then commited Siamba. The building fell into ruin until about 50 seasonal cycles later, it was discovered by the first Master of Assassins, a member of the Darktide Defenders.
