Divine Goals & Aspirations

Darkness:

Followers of Baal in his aspect as the God of Darkness come from all over the world. Some revere him as an indispensible aspect of the Seven, caring not about the rift between the gods that many others consider important, and some, like the Shadowkin, simply love the darkness for its own sake.

Hatred:

Those who revere Baal's aspect as the God of hatred come to him out of hatred for anything from their father, their neighbour or their liege lord, to hatred of nations, races or other gods. By far the most common though, is people who hate The Church of Light, which rules most of the western human nations, and whose laws and enforcers have oppressed many people, who then turn to Baal. With this, they share their God's hatred of Arathion and what they see as his unyelding and stubborn self-rightiousness.

Vengeance:

Perhaps the most personal of Baal's aspects, anyone who seeks vengeance can find solace, not to mention power to exact their will, with Baal. Many of course merge the aspect of hatred with this, and again, most can be found among those who hate the enemies of Baal and the shadowkin.
