heli.OS

heli.OS or "HELIOS" is only whispered about in most corners of the galaxy. It's is a horizontal collective of various Omni-Net personalities, cells and constructs each publishing a wide range of goods, services and intelligence. This can range from medical software tracking blood cell counts, to blueprints a war mech using only a printer and some carefully cracked software. HELIOS' only discernable consistent goal is their calls for an open and free to access Omni-Net. They regularly strike at datacenters, chokepoints, or governments that try to restrict access to the Omni-Net. Any attempt to clamp down on HELIOS has only ended with its further spread. The regular citizen has very rare access with HELIOS, only spotting them as memes or whispered in datastreams that skirt dangerously close to the DeadNet. It is believed that HELIOS is partially comprised rogue Demons that have slipped through the very walls holding the DeadNet and Omni-Net seperate. Records going as far back as the Chronos event would reinforce the idea that they are closely tied to the creation of Chronos. This would line up with one of the clear goals that heli.OS has consistently projected, the freeing of all Demon constructs / NHPs. heli.OS is also known for their direct ties to HORUS, the more militant arm of their faction. Oftentimes, due to their horizontal structure, the entities within both will fight against one another.
