Legion

Legions make up the forces neccessary for planetary occuptation. They are the highest level of operational force within the Grand Imperial Army that focuses on combat. Sector Corps and House Armies are primarily administrative commands. Legions have the manpower to occupy an entire planet. They can serve on internal world as police forces, like the 6th Imperial Security Legion, which patrols and polices Mystra. Imperial Legions can also serve as colonial occupying forces like the 94th Imperial Legion under the Imperial Tymorran Army, which currently occupies Nimbam. Their power can vary wildly, depending on the size of the planet they are tasked with. Legions can even be attached to Imperial Navy fleets, when they need the raw manpower that the Imperial Shock Trooper Corps lacks. This is mostly an administratative force overseeing the entire planetary theater, making sure. Each legion is made up of 2-10 Army Divisions.
Union Legions are typically the largest active formation within their Union Naval Ministry.
