General Summary
With the GUSF interested in inspecting Synchronicity for prospective use, Edgar, Annabelle, Zhilan, and Eve are forced to take a break from work. Nicole invites the party to the False Reality in Marais to see her band. At the bar, Daiyu begs her sister to protect Nicole, and Felix Arvina of Kusanagi tries to poach Edgar, divulging that an agent of the SIS has supposedly infiltrated Cydonia to destroy Synchronicity.
After being sent to investigate a meetup organized by the supposed Social Republic hacker Two-tails in Hotdogger's Row by Anita based off an anonymous tip, Edgar and Annabelle bear witness in virtual reality to the Aomori massacre, a historic gas attack by the MTL that killed Haruto Kobayashi along with tens of thousands of civilians, whose martyrdom led to the creation of the Social Republic. With resolve for corporate servitude wavering, a meeting is called at Edgar's apartment.
After reporting the basic details of the situation to Nicole and Lyra, Adrian invites Edgar to a one-on-one meeting at a hotel. Adrian nearly drops Edgar from a fifth-floor balcony on suspicion of him being a SR spy and for his affair with Lyra, relenting only after Edgar blackmails him.
