Estinian Legion

A standard Estinian legion is made up of ten cohorts of infantry, supported by a small auxiliary of cavalry. It is commanded by the Legatus Legionis, who might or might not carry other titles, as well.

Each legion has at least one wing of cavalry auxilia, numbering 120 fighters, four decurions and commanded by a Praefectus Auxilium. The rank and file, and their decurions are usually recruited from among allied foreigners or other non-citizens, though the Praefectus is usually a citizen member of the Ordo Equester.
