Praefectus Auxilium

The Estinian legions are usually supported by a wing (or sometimes more) of cavalry auxilia. At the present time, the troops are recruited from foreign lands and non-citizen residents of the Imperium. In most (not all) cases, however, their commander is an eques. That is, they are a citizen member of the ordo equester.
