Elvir Martikov
Elvir Martikov is the youngest son of Davian Martikov, the younger brother of Adrian, Stefania, and Urwin Martikov and the brother-in-law of Danica Dorakova. He is also the uncle of Brom and Bray Martikov.
When Elvir first met the party in their initial visit to The Wizard of Wines, he was easily the most forthcoming of the group, and what information Davian shared with them was in no small part due to his exasperated prodding. Knowing what the party knows now about soulless Barovians, it's reasonable to assume that Elvir and Urwin were the only ones of Davian's children in possession of souls. Much like his late brother, Elvir is friendly, cheerful, and perhaps a little on the naive side by Barovian standards — like Urwin, he seems to have maintained a certain sense of optimism, against all odds.
At some point between the party's initial acquaintance with Elvir and Carac Cherenchikov, the pair struck up a polyamorous relationship with one another and a human woman named Raz. The exact dynamics of this relationship are unknown to the party, but it's obvious both men are concerned about their missing third — believed to be in the custody of Strahd and his allies, or dead following the assault on the winery by said vampire lord — and are fond of each other, though their public displays of affection have been minimal, and easily mistaken for platonic. Given the apparent lack of acceptance for non-heterosexual inclinations and non-monogamous relationships in Barovia, it's possible that part of this is simply a reaction to conventional standards.
In the wake of the attack on the winery, once Danica and Bray had been resurrected, it was agreed that Elvir, Danica, and Makar would lead the Keepers of the Feather going forward.
