The Burning Son

Lodern is commonly compared to a volcano, he is calm until angered, destroying all that stands in his way. Those who worship him draw upon his strength to carry them through difficult times when calm is needed or to find the inner strength to strike down those who would hurt them.
Many tales tell how interested in his followers Lodern always is, due to this, it is a common belief that where ever there is smoke Lodern is looking down on the land around. Some say he watches over those with a father/son bond as they remind him of the bond he shares with his own father. One such tale tells of how Lodern made a deal with Yoshino to take some steeds that he then gives to his followers as well as teaching them to tame the steeds themselves. Due to this many people still name their steeds Lodern as a sign of thanks to the God.

Artifacts

Sword of Zariel- Tales of this blade go hand in hand with Lodern and his former head angel Zariel. Zariel proved herself again and again until she became the right hand of Lodern over time in this position Lodern would come to rely on her seeing her as a close friend and protege. Thanks to this close bond Lodern turned to his father Strahl with a request, together the two gods created a sword famous even in the heavens themselves known as the Sword of Zariel. Unfortunately, this blade would be used against its very creator as Zariel would come to betray Lodern attempting to slay the god before fleeing the heavens. Many tales say the sword still resides sealed inside the heavens as Zariel was unable to defeat Lodern and had to flee without it, it is believed by many that Lodern was unable to strike down Zariel due to seeing her as a daughter so to limit her power he took the sword before allowing her to flee.

Tenets of Faith

Lodern demands little from his followers. The faith promotes inner strength, independence, and a calm spirit. Rules would detract from his objective. That said, Lodern does ask his followers to stretch their limits and remove themselves from their comfort zones. Each cycle is designed to bring renewal, but also new growth. Fall and winter are times of rest and contemplation, while spring and summer are times of devotion and learning. Even into old age, a follower of Lodern is expected to ever grow.

History

Strahl and Lodern may be the closest father and son out of any of the gods. They have been inseparable since Lordern was born, yes Zylen was always around and a big part of Loderns life but from domains to personality Lordern clearly took after his father. Strahl spend his every moment teaching Lodern and helping him grow until Lodern was able to start aiding his father in helping those across the realms. This father son pair even taught the mortals of the lands how to farm and cultivate life from the earth, all races owe a lot to these two gods.

History

Zylen clearly took after her mother Promoria as she was a terrific mother to Lodern attenting to any need he ever had. Even though she spent just as much time with Lordern as Strahl did it was apparent from domains to personality Lordern clearly took after his father. Zylen always aided Strahl in teaching Lodern even adding in her own lessons. This continued until Strahl and Lodern left to go teach the mortals while it hurt her to not follow her son and husband she knew she had to return where the universe needed her most, so she returned to Luxsaria's side.

History

Lodern wasnt to old himself when Rylai was created from the moment Lodern saw her he was amazed by her armor but he was even more amazed to hear that her true form was the water inside. Ever since then when ever Rylai would come back from her search for revenge she would spend time with Strahl and Lodern. Lodern always showed more interest in Rylai always asking her about her adventures and trying to learn more about her. Over time Rylai found herself caring for Lodern even almost looking forward to his questions upon her return returned. As time passed the two Gods would come together and have a daughter and daughter, Amaranth who's beauty would stun the universe, and Hymmion who would change the way many mortals viewed the cosmos.

To no ones surprise Lodern followed in Strahl's footsteps of being an attentive doting father. Lodern and Rylai had truly created the most beautiful child the universe had ever seen. Many say that the universe actually stopped for a moment just to gaze upon Amaranths beauty. Amaranth's beauty brought together more gods and goddess then ever before as everyone wanted to meet the new baby of the heavens. It was here where the gods devised a plan to always keep this goddess pure and safe. After this meeting Lodern left his daughters side for the first time as he went off to visit every thing in creation and ask it to swear an oath not to harm her until they all agreed. They say the love this father and daughter share is so pure that it makes Primoria weep.

History

Lodern was more then overjoyed when he heard the news that him and Rylai were expecting another child this time it was a boy a son named Hymmion. Hymmion was always a unique child he saw the universe through different eyes then his peers and while Lodern didn't see what Hymmion saw he always supported his son. They would end up growing their bond each time they visited Talos as one thing Lodern did understand was his sons fascination of Mortals. Hymmion seeing how his father taught these mortal beings planned to do dedicate his life to doing the same thing one day. The pair would see each other less while Hymmion joined his mother on her search but the pair would work together again down the line to inspire and help mortals all across Talos.
