In the carnage of the Sanguine Gala, the debtors make allies and enemies alike, return to Emberwood Village, and prepare for their most important mission so far.

Session Notes

• The Grave Order's skeletons surround a chained-up, exhausted Thorak
• Summoning a shadowy bone-spear, Jedar challenges Cecito to a "duel"
1. "I've waited a long, long time for this. This is revenge, Cecito."
2. Smiling, the knight confidently replies, "Who are you again?"
• Per Cecito's request, Eldemir convinces Halorin to stay out of the battle
1. In a flash, the vampire chops off Vikari's hand before releasing him
2. Wordlessly, Vikari escapes with the Queen of Thieves's delivery
• Peter convinces Tim to stay put, although the paladin is unhappy about this

Note: While part of the following battle is anticlimactic, do not let it distract you from Cecito's involvment in the controversial practice of "quenching," as it will likely lead to interesting drama later. Editor out.

• Cecito casts ride the light, blinking before Jedar and nearly beheading him
1. His minions made to ash, the necromancer calls for Halorin's aid
• The vampire pounces on the knight, but Cecito parries his brutal strikes
• Before Jedar can act, Sarlen ends him with an arrow through each eye
• Eldemir joins Cecito, and the two bludgeon the vampire with smites
1. Growing feral, Halorin summons a massive orb of darkness
• Grimgar launches a bright, bright flare into the sky, hoping for help
• Peter breaks Thorak's chains, and the tearful ogre joins the battle
• His spell broken, Halorin conjures a blighted greatsword from his wounds
• Nervous about the flare, Sarlen sees tatter-sailed ships docking on the river
1. Minotaur pirates on mutated chulls stampede through the city... towards the group!
• Enraged, Halorin savagely bites Cecito's neck, felling the knight
• Grimgar detonates his "holy water vest," dousing the vampire
1. The vampire burns, turns into mist, and vanishes from Fresser Estate
2. Eldemir's curse ward protected Cecito from becoming Halorin's thrall
• The Blackhorn Raiders surround the group, and Peter negotiates with them
1. Cecito willingly becomes their prisoner for the group's freedom
2. The pirates give Peter a token to parlay at Bogan Bridge
