The Silversprings of Evissa
The Silversprings of Evissa are a collection of forged
springs and cave waterfalls, part of one of the largest water-mining facilities of the city of Syndwend.
Evissa is located in the Icetower Mountains, in expansive open caves forged of emblematic pure white stone. Despite its name, the area is not actually a spring, but rather a series of pools and waterfalls, the result of water-mining.
The area possesses a strong natural magic, and is even said to have once been the dwelling place of ancient naiads.
Evissa is much admired and revered as one of the most beautiful spots in the city's lower dimension. The cave walls and floors are pure white stone, sloping high above to a smoothly sloping ceiling, out of which streams of cold, clear water pour down in luminescent waterfalls. The area gleams with silver light, awash in mist, reflections on the smooth wet walls, and the sound of water.
The cave ceiling is the end-point of a tunnel system, fed by water mines higher up the Icetower. Evissa is small in size, and difficult to reach, carved high in its mountain. The climate is cold and damp, though it rarely sees snow, the temperature staying just above icenumbers.
It is sometimes used for ceremonies or rituals, especially for the city's wealthy elite.
