Harventfell

The city of lights. Often a beacon welcoming in those traveling to the Assarian Empire from the western forests. Shining during the long nights upwards through the sky with its beacons of magical energy, it is a bustling hub of activity, both good and bad. The city itself is nestled along the Fellen Lake and Rushed River.

Demographics

The population is generally seated around the edges of the river and eastwards into the forests that border the area. A mixed diversity of coloration, but primarily human and elven.

Government

Harventfell is a uniquely free city. Run by the Assarian Empire, but within its borders free trade and free thought is stressed among the many beacons of light.

Defences

The Defences of the city mainly rely on the outer cities. The city itself does not have an official standing wall, as the city used to be airborne not but 50 years prior. There are large towers stationed at intervals within the city, but this is the only official defence set up aside from the guards that often deal with criminals

Industry & Trade

The biggest industry is the textile crafting along the lake. Much of the water within is in a constant churn, and especially near the mouth of the river the speed is intense, powering water wheels and churning buildings to fashion orante fabrics together that the craftsmen create from their trades with the many trade routes

Infrastructure

Long chains now rest upon the ground, the city itself used to be airborne but chained in place. Remnants of this can be seen. Since being back upon the ground, the city has shaped the land and has created long aqueducts that run the tranquil river water through the populated areas.

Assets

Plentiful housing areas, good food stores, access to raw materials, and good trade routes

Guilds and Factions

Assarian Empire,

History

The City of Lights was once a shining beacon within the sky. However after many of the battles during The Great Magical Wars, and more recently the Draconic invasions, the city was put to rest upon the ground for its own safety. While much easier to assault upon the ground, the towers, magic, and ability to cause the city to float are still in place, despite all of the layering built over the land that would crumble should the city rise.

Architecture

The architecture is fairly weathered in some places, but is crafted with heavy stones and wood primarily. The long wood trade linse stop here first for many of the new contruction projects the city is going through. Many of the settlements also have small symbols to Valos for bringing the glorious light to their city

Geography

Nestled in the edge of the short mountains that border the northern side of the Fellen Lake, and walled in by the line of the Rushed River, Harventfell is positioned in a fairly bountiful area. The skies above are sometimes dark, but with the wind barely reaching them across the forests at times, the darkness above can abate for weeks at a time. Most of the city lies on a smooth plain with the rest of the White Valley.

Natural Resources

Wood, stone, fresh water, and grain are in the area naturally
