Pov'rakea

Head of the strongest Empire in the region and one of the oldest non-draconic cities on Aldaria, this city has long since been a beacon of hope. Changing over the long years of its life, it holds much of the ruling courts and officials of the Assarian Empire, while being a place for emissaries from far away lands.

Demographics

Much of the main population is housed within the southern housing districts. This spreads for a few miles towards the ocean in spiraling neighborhoods and smaller areas until the large docks begin.

Government

The main governing body of the Empire. Ruled by military forces governing the laws in a fairly standard Monarchical way

Defences

Heavily fortified outer wall segments. Large towers with heavily armed guards lie in-between the large wall sections that raise almost 20 feet high in places.

Industry & Trade

The heart of the Empire sees much trade through the area. Passing large vessels back and forth with stocks of goods, while other trading caravans come through in droves and depart in just as many. The manufacturing is mostly done near the edge of the wharf, or outside of the city.

Infrastructure

Entail a long series of canals to bring in large warships into the center of the city, to long aqueducts, extensive sewers, and all manner of smaller creations along the surface that spred from the long docks to the sprawling center of the city.

History

Long since constructed in the era's past, Pov'rakea has stood the test of time of multiple wars, battles, and many different faces and breeds of people.

Architecture

The architecture in most places is stone with wooden implements between. Some metallic bracing is placed upon the outer sections of the walls in a delicate fashion. House are typically well-made and adorned with all manner of colors of stone or wood.

Geography

Nestled slightly inland from the Black Cove, the city looks over the surrounding land upon a long and flat hill. Spread out from this original point is the central main towers and hubs that once made up the heart of the city.

Natural Resources

The natural resources in the area have been mostly dug up from the ground. Outside the immediate area there is plentiful fish, some stores of stone from the nearby quarries, and light farmland.
