West Chambers
This was once a place where guests might have stayed, or perhaps it was a storehouse. Whatever was in here has been lost and swept away by time. But that doesn't mean that it has gone completely unused, nature has reclaimed much of this manor, and huddled in the far corner, safely behind their effective moat, a small gathering of plant beasts!!!
As this door is opened, there is a small fluttering buzzing sound. No, that's not right. It sounds more like a purr. A adorably bumblesized feline darts towards what looks like a purple and yellow flower emerging from a quandry of shrubbery. The leaves bristle as the Buzzpurr floats just out of their reach, dashing this way and that until they land with a tumble onto the yellow petals.
Crossing the middle of the room, it seems the river has made itself its own path, without respect for what the masons intended. The water moves quickly here, and it is almost as deep as it is wide, more than ten feet in a few places. The shrubbery on the other side, shifts as the Buzzpurr darts and attempts to take off... but the leaves close around it!
Six Shrubhogs swarm the kittenbee.
Ultimately, one will escape and take the Buzzpurr with them through a squirmy little crack in the wall. Too small to follow. To rescue the Buzzpurr will require going around and finding the other side of the wall before it is too late.

This is not a Hedgehog. Hedges are trimmed. Shrubs are RABID. This is a Shrubhog.
Sometimes called Plantgremlins, they like to steal and destroy beautiful things. Most of all though, they enjoy dining on heartier stuff than sunlight. They are carnivorous plants, and on closer inspection it is clear that their backs are not simply leaves, but flytrap jaws idly chewing and snapping at the air. Shrubhogs speak only in curse words, it is unclear if it is because they lack the linguistic capability, or if they indeed can learn other languages and just see no reason to ever say something polite.
