Hogan

Demographics

This is a pretty large village. Most of which are men and elves. The noble family that owns this village is called the "Barnes Family". The village consist of several farming families, A family ran Store, a blacksmith, a small tinkerers shop, and 2 taverns. The village is built around a large well in the center of it. Most of the people that reside in the village of Hogan are middle class/lower class, very very few exceptions exist. Even if those do exist, the people of a noble class in Hogan don't like to live there very often, they think of it as more of a summer home as they travel the lands. Most people who don't belong to the farmer or merchant class work in the coal mine not too far from the village. This provides a job for the entire village if they so demand it.

Government

The government of the town consist of a noble owning the town and taxing the people under them. They basically live on their land and they pay a tax for it. The people don't think that it's fair, but they live with it. It isn't fully overwhelming for most. The guards of the village consist of a regiment of the army of The Council.

Defences

The defenses of the village include a small private army provided by The Council under the instruction of the Barnes family. This makes up of about 40 of the villagers, and they live in seperate beds altogether from the rest of the village.

Infrastructure

The exports that exit from the village of Hogan are generally potatoes, tomatoes, and turnips. It also imports raw materials for their blacksmith and tinkerers shop, these materials are turned into goods that the shop owners sell to those who enter the city. The city itself gets its money from the taxes that are imposed upon the house owners and business owners inside. Sometimes, however, a group of traveling merchants may pay to sell their goods in the city limits. Finally, through the semi high amount of travelers that go to and fro the city, the taverns are well equipped to give most a good night and a nice warm bed to sleep on.

Districts

The city isn't seperated into districts. The only barrier that prevents the public directly into a place is at the home of the Barnes family.

Assets

The Barnes family name is quite a valuable one, and the fact that Hogan is the home of such a name is important in political settings. A single family owned general store holds most of the things available to the public. This store does not include the private armory near the house of the Barnes family, this includes almost all of the martial weapons and armour in the village. The general store actually has a sort of deal to be able to sell some equipment from this armory if they so desire to do so.

Geography

The edge of the Keclan Forest is only a 20 minute walk away. Underneath the village is a very large water source that provides water for the whole village through the well. The ground is quite damp or muddy almost all year round.

Climate

The village of Hogan is in the north western region of The Great Kings Empire, this provides it with comfortable temperatures all year round, though windy days are quite common in the village. Rainfall is quite common around this region of the empire.

Natural Resources

The main natural resource that is provided by Hogan is coal. This is achieved through the coal mine not too far away, while this is a pretty small village, this village has a very large and expanding coal mine that makes it one of the main exports of the town. It also provides the heat for the fires that keep the village going.
