Rez Alterhorn

One of the The Sentinels of Terrania ; the greatest heroes of our time. Rez and his compatriots were heavily responsible in defeating Pyrhem Wrathbringer and Ancalmo ending Pyrhem's Calamity .

BACKSTORY

The Alterhorn family was a very influential noble family in Symera. They had alot of economic interests back in Eridenne. That is why in in the days leading up to The Great Siege of Eridenne Rez was in Eridenne. On behalf of the family, he rushed into Erienne's port to retrieve documents and items vital to the family economic interests in the city. While arranging services along the docks of the port, a small force of Bloodhorde attacked the port with the goal of destroying it. In the ensuing chaos, Rez's ship left the port and fleed the city leaving him there. He was an experienced fighter as he had crossed blades with many pirates while patrolling Symera's coast in the city's navy. He immediately leapt into action, helping the haphazard defense combat the Bloodhorde. At the height of the battle, he rallied the fleeing soldiers to prevent the abandonment of the port. His heroic actions saved the port and allowed vital reinforcements and supplies to enter the city of the next few days. Stuck in the city, he decided to make himself and his talents useful and therefore joined the cities defense. General Jermil Keshlonga upon reading an account of what happened at the port recruited Rez to the small team he was creating, the Sentinels.
After the end of the Calamity, Rez finally returned to Symera to a hero's welcome. He continued his service in the Navy, becoming Admiral in 1264 AC. Later on in his life, he inherited his family estate and economic holdings. As a result, he left the navy to carry on the Alterhorn legacy. Shortly after his death, a massive statue was built in his honor in the Symera main plaza. When Louie II of Toussaint conquered the city, he personally ensured the statue would be safe from harm. He is said to have gone to the statue and asked for forgiveness from Rez for his transgression against the city.
