Arcanum Artifacts

Thanks to the invention of Arcanite, it became possible to create magic items en masse. With the refinement of the process and some high-level magic, the obvious happened, creating Artifacts became child's play for the Archadian Empire. There were stories about even their military officers having Artifacts, thus strengthening their military even more. The Arcanum Artifacts, following the destruction of Archeron, became very sought after but the first discoveries revealed something dire - most of them became corrupted by some unknown force. Unlike other artifacts created during the Third Age, Kingdoms known as Kingdoms Artifacts, their obvious flaws made it more a collection item than something adventures wanted to use. The very few Arcanum Artifacts that survived the corruption are in the same league of power as the Godswar Artifacts.
