Charioteer

Also known as the Charioteer of the Sun. The god that guides the sun over the horizon. His followers believe him to be the essence of Ossyria, what it meant to be God-King and that through servitude there is great reward. Those that worship the Charioteer believe in strict hierarchy, especially in their lives. Some theologians outside Azura believe that he is an Aspect of the Sunlord.

History

The legends say that the Charioteer was a mortal during the Second Age, Godswar that gained much fame fighting in the frontlines and defending the Sunlord's lands. When the world broke, he found himself a Demigod in Azura. He joined forces with others, becoming the first God-Kings of Ossyria, much later ascending to the heavens, leaving his son to become the next Demigod, the next God-King. He saw the need to continue the Godswar and his followers obliged. Two times he was struck by his enemies, once during the Rain of Sand (which apparently wasn't his plan) and second during Ascension of the Mummy God who went against the wishes of the Ossyrian Pyramid. After these failed attempts, the Charioteer decided to slumber as he was blinded by hatred, allowing his followers to wreck havoc on Tethys. When he woke up, it was the end of the Fourth Age, The Calamity and quickly joined the forces against Vecna. While the victory was theirs, his heart was still devastated over what transpired over the centuries. He saw himself as the great uniter and began working with Oziria to see Azura once again united under one nation.

The pyramid is more than a structure, it sets a hierarchy of life. Abide by it.

Praise the sun as it will bring life. Those that hide in the shadows are unworthy.

Treat your life like a chariot, only you can steer it but it will break down if you don't take care of it.

Relationships with other Gods

He has an uneasy alliance with other gods of the Ossyrian Pyramid, even if he is their leader, mainly because they worked behind his back in the past. He does have a friendly relationship with the Sunlord.
