Leader of the metallic dragons. Followers of the Gilded Hand see themselves as kingmakers, those that sit on the side and create kings out of pawns. Most would see them as schemers but they see it another way, with a controlled succession, they can grant safety for their kind for generations to come. Doing so, they have a lot in common with the
Divine King's followers.
History
Long ago, during the
Second Age, Godswar, the Gilded Hand was the right hand of the
Jade Emperor, his best advisor and friend. The dragon gods waged war against the elven gods for dominance over the long-living races of dragons and elves. This conflict, known as
The Elder War, didn't end well for both sides and the Gilded Hand saw it as such. Over the next centuries, he tried to remedy the situation, and when the Jade Emperor waged war against the
Old World, he didn't join him, betraying his old friend. Later on, he would join
Wise One and create a pact between the races, which would last to this day as the
Elder Pantheon.
Dogma
Short term plans are a necessity, while long term plans are a requirement.
Those at power should recognize their weakness and make way for true leaders.
Seek alliances, even those out of convenience, those that keep their word are true friends.
Relationships with other Gods
A close alliance between the elven and dragon gods is formed in the
Elder Pantheon. While the Gilded Hand might have some friends outside his court, like the Divine King, his main enemy, nemesis is the
Jade Emperor and his
Chromatic Alliance.
