Likouala Jungles

Many evildoers, especially the wizardkind, head here to do their nasty deeds as the jungles are vast and they are able to escape authorities for longer than in the north of the Old World. For centuries, the jungles hid many secrets organizations during the Third Age, Kingdoms, while others would send expeditions to destroy them. This allowed the jungle to be mostly untouched up to the Fourth Age, The Calamity. Some would escape here, trying to not to be found by the Iconian Empire. While they could hide for much longer, sooner or later the jungles would ask for "payment" for the trouble as many monsters still lurk here. Only some countries were able to survive, thanks to their ruthlessness. In the Fifth Age, Current Age, those are the drow nation of Ivashaar, where they rebuilt lost elven ports that were used to sail to the Elven Lands, the witchcracy of Lyssarea, where the word of the witch is final, or the nation Mosparia that would expand their borders rapidly, so the jungles would bend to their will. This just to name a few.
