The Lady of Thorns, Duchess Vesper d'Honaire
Vesper is the current matriarch of House d'Honaire and holds the title of Duchess, answering only to Empress Eunisia Rosewood. Following the passing of her father Desmond, she succeeded him and became Duchess of Clovergarde after her mother Ingrid expressed no desire to rule in her late husbands stead. During the War of Four Suits, she and her father fought as part of Duke Scorpius Brutoris' rebellion.

Unlike the rest of House d'Honaire, Vesper passed over the arcane arts in favor of studying fencing and dueling. She studied under Ser Melchor Fritz as a young girl and is an excellent duelist.

As a noble, Vesper received the highest level of education available to her in the Empire. Although Clovergarde is the seat of arcane study in the Empire and unlike the rest of her family, Vesper has displayed no interest in the arcane arts, choosing to hone her martial talents instead by travelling to Albion to study under Ser Melchor Fritz.
Accomplishments & Achievements
During the War of Four Suits, Vesper led a portion of the d'Honaire army as they pushed towards Albion. Although her forces were ultimately repelled by Ser Melchor Fritz, she demonstrated her leadership ability to all those present.

Vesper is an intelligent leader who makes decisions after carefully considering all outcomes and deciding on the optimal path. As displayed during the war, she is also an outstanding tactician and military commander.

Vesper is the eldest daughter of the former Duke, Desmond d'Honaire. Vesper has made it clear that she does not condone her father's participation in House Brutoris' rebellion, but she also makes no excuses for her role in leading his armies. Although she is much closer to her mother Ingrid, she still mourned for her father after he passed away.
