Following the birth of the Alor’eshan, many years passed while other celestial bodies matured and grew in brightness and size. During this time Ácolitus became acquainted with the Eshan, these strange beings which had been born from pure energy. They were beyond his knowledge and expectations, for life itself was a concept not known to the Creator. For periods of time unknown, he had been the sole being in existence, alone in the vastness of his own darkness. The chance to share life with other beings was simultaneously intriguing and terrifying. It was a feeling that mortal parents may feel when bringing children in the world, but in this case felt for the first time in history. After those years passed, centuries or millennia, it is impossible to tell, the next generation was born. Like the first, they were from the breaking of the celestial bodies into beings of light. Long periods of time separated their times of birth, but one by one the Void was populated with more sentient beings. These were known as the Ebal’eshan, or the lesSer beings of the universe. The Creator continued to obServe these developments with interest, wondering where it might end or what purpose may be divined from them. The answer was not forthcoming. In truth, no clear answer was ever known. The Ebal’eshan were pulled along in the conflicts that followed between the Alor’eshan and Ácolitus. It was often the case that their fate was decided by others, and that their blood was shed for their older siblings. The struggle for control of their own destiny has been a characteristic of the Ebal’eshan since the beginning.
