Azshara
The Azshara zone is located in the northeastern part of Kalimdor in the world of Azeroth. It is a lush, tropical forest with a coastline that stretches along the Great Sea. The zone is named after Queen Azshara, a former ruler of the night elves who was corrupted by the Old Gods and transformed into a naga.
In the aftermath of the Sundering, Azshara and her followers were swallowed by the Great Sea and transformed into naga. They built their underwater city of Nazjatar, and their empire has since expanded to control much of the ocean depths.
The zone is also home to ruins and artifacts of the ancient night elf civilization, as well as a goblin port known as Bilgewater Harbor. Additionally, the zone is home to the elemental lord of water, Neptulon, and his servants.
