The lands of Alraya are found in the north east of the Northern Continent and are the home of the Genasi people.

Geography

The lands of Alrya are situated on the northeastern edge of the Northern Continent , bordered by the imposing Mirrorback Mountains to the north, the Palatine Kingdoms to the south, and Everspring Isles to the east, across the Azure Sea . Alrya boasts a diverse range of terrain, from the vast expanses of the Efreeti Desert dominating the eastern coast to the lush forests and rugged mountains that define its land borders. The great Maridene River originates from the Mirrorbacks, meandering through the Dao foothills before gracefully emptying into the sea.

Politics

Alrya is governed by various tribes of Genasi , a resilient people who were once enslaved by the powerful elemental Genies that once ruled these lands. These tribes are scattered across the region, each with its own distinct customs and traditions, save for the notable exception of the city of Alsa Alraya . Here, all four races of Genasi coexist harmoniously, fostering a more unified and modern way of life.

History

Age of Ancients

In ancient times, the lands of Alrya were a part of a vast Genie empire, replete with magnificent cities and bustling trade routes. However, with the advent of the 2nd Convergence , cataclysmic events unfolded, resulting in the destruction of many cities and the mysterious disappearance of the Genies.

Age of Darkness

In the aftermath of the cataclysm, the remaining Genasi were forced into hiding during the tumultuous Empyrionic War , struggling to survive amidst the chaos and upheaval.

Age of Light

Emerging from centuries of seclusion, the Genasi gradually began to reclaim their homeland. Tribes spread across the land, laying claim to ancient ruins and forging new settlements. Among these, the city of Alsa Alrya rose from the ashes of the Genie city of Qaisalma , symbolizing the dawn of a new era for the Genasi people.

Current Age

Today, Alsa Alrya stands as a beacon of prosperity and progress, serving as the primary port of trade for the burgeoning Everspring Isles federation. As commerce flourishes and alliances are forged, the Genasi of Alrya navigate the currents of diplomacy and ambition, striving to carve out their place in a rapidly changing world.
