Overview

Rhea Valois Amède Silvestre, commonly known as Rhea Silvestre, is a half-elf sorcerer renowned for her mastery of black lightning magic and her adventuring exploits with the group Arcane Punch . Born into the noble Silvestre family  under scandalous circumstances, her life has been marked by both adversity and exceptional talent.

Early Life and Family Scandal

Rhea was born as the illegitimate child of Duchess Arlette Silvestre of Concordia, a high-ranking member of the influential Silvestre family . Her father, an elf, further fueled the scandal surrounding her birth, as the union between humans and elves was frowned upon within Concordian noble society. In a desperate attempt to spare her child from the stigma of being a half-elf, Duchess Arlette tried to end Rhea’s life while she was still a baby. The attempt was nearly successful; Rhea died, but her nanny, moved by compassion and horror, used powerful magic to revive her.

Despite the secrecy surrounding her heritage, Rhea’s elven traits were concealed well during her early childhood, especially since she was female and could more easily blend in with human girls. However, her natural sorcerous abilities manifested at the age of eight, making it impossible to hide her true nature any longer.

Training at the High Temple of Concordia

In Concordia, the emergence of sorcerous talent within a family was often a source of pride and was usually exploited to enhance the family’s prestige and power. However, due to her mixed heritage, Rhea was quietly handed over to the High Temple of Concordia for training. There, she underwent rigorous instruction in both magical and martial disciplines. Despite her tumultuous beginnings, Rhea excelled in her studies, quickly rising through the ranks. She eventually achieved the rank of 3rd Magus in the Concordian 4th Legion , a prestigious position that underscored her remarkable abilities.

Role in Arcane Punch

Rhea became a founding member of the adventuring party known as Arcane Punch . Her exceptional skills and fierce independence earned her the nickname "Rhea of the Black Lightning," a moniker derived from her distinctive dark-hued lightning spells. With Arcane Punch, she participated in numerous quests and battles across Queendom of Ilisha and the Jubal Plains , gaining a reputation as a formidable sorcerer. However, her decision to join the group and pursue adventures beyond her assigned duties led to her being branded a deserter by the Concordian authorities.

Imprisonment and Encounter with the Harvester

During her time with Arcane Punch, Rhea was arrested by the Concordian Army and subsequently imprisoned in The Foundation , a notorious high-security prison known for housing deserters and other perceived enemies of the state. She eventually managed to escape from the prison, an act that only added to her infamy within Concordia. Following her escape, Rhea encountered a mysterious entity known as The Harvister —a being that had taken her soul during her near-death experience as a child. The details of this encounter remain shrouded in mystery, but it is believed to have had a profound impact on Rhea, influencing her actions in the times that followed.

Disappearance

Rhea Silvestre was last seen with Arcane Punch as they ventured into the tunnels beneath the Jubal Plains. The group’s fate remains unknown, as they disappeared without a trace, leaving behind a legacy of bravery, rebellion, and mystery. Despite numerous rumors and sightings, the true story of Rhea’s fate, like that of her companions, has yet to be uncovered.
