Season 11, Episode 7: "End of the Road" Report

General Summary

Ana Logan appeared in front of the Dream Team, Crow and their Anticipations hot on her heels, and so the crew fled into the depths of the Rookery. Led by Aggy, they retreated to a strange chamber once known as the Larks, which seemed capable of repelling their assailants long enough to breathe.   Ana explained that she had answered Lockette's call, but that she did not know the exact state of the world. However, she possessed an ability to call for those who did — those not taken or corrupted by Crow, and that wished to stop the Cult of the Elder Mythos from destroying the Infinity Petal at End Day. With Crow pounding on the walls of the Larks, the crew agreed, and Ana's voice echoed throughout the universe. Over two dozen answered the call... Creating the force that would serve as the last stand against Crow's dominion. Listed in alphabetical order:     The overwhelming presence in the room shed a new light on the severity of their mission, as Ana was selected to facilitate the discussion. Leaning on others for up-to-date information, it was revealed that End Day had truly begun, and that Vulreach could be seen through the portal known as the Sideways Steps. As told in an ancient legend from Norn, Crow had selected thirteen of their Anticipations to stand against the forces of good, which would comprise of seven individuals chosen from those present.   While skeptical on the details of that prophecy, it seemed to hold weight with Bast, and others identified similar phenomena occurring in previous Iterations. But before going along, the group pushed for the resurrection of memory. Looking to the broken form of Muninn, Regulus agreed to use a favor given to Lockette in the form of the Blessing of the Android, and revealed that he had stolen the Starstone before the fall of Absalom Station.   Using the relic, Regulus flooded the Larks with divine power, creating a Shape Squirrel body for Cornelius to inhabit, and then returning the divine essence of Muninn into a stable, mortal form. The wave of power imbued those of the Divine with energy, becoming more than they were. Bast was made lucid by the transition, confirming more earnestly the rules of the mystery that was End Day, that seven would encounter thirteen, and that only two would survive.   Still uncertain, the crew decided to play along, and selected the six main party members of the Dream Team without argument. However, heavy debate followed on the identity of the seventh, which led to a group vote... And the selection of Regulus as their last member.   With Crow still pounding on the Larks, the foremost question was of time, and so the moot diverged into smaller groups. Now reunited with her powers, Lockette reached out and summoned two more Tinker Tools from the world, once owned by Raemus and Elminster respectively. Currently manifested in a physical form, Binder studied Mist's curse, and with aid was able to remove it from the Ysoki's soul. Then all the easy items were out of the way, and the arguments began in earnest...
