Initiate
Initiates are technically the lowest ranking members of the Order of Fortunism in Ione, though they hold no power in any capacity. The rank is used to designate those who are in training for the Trials of the Fortunate and have not yet ventured into Sanctum Forest. Upon completion of the month long trial they are immediately granted the title of Acolyte.
Requirements
Only humans are able to obtain the Mark of Fortune and thus only humans are able to obtain the rank of Initiate and subsequently an official rank within Ione. Younger humans that have live approximately a third of the average human life tend to receive the marks.
Appointment
An individual is given the rank of Initiate the moment that they recieve a Mark of Fortune, a small blue, blue, bioluminescent symbol somewhere on their body. This occurs during the first week of the new Ionean year.
Responsibilities
The only duty required of the Initiates is to train for their upcoming trial in Sanctum Forest. This training takes place within the Grand Cathedral during which the Initiate are not permitted to leave the grounds.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The rank of Initiate cannot be removed from an individual as they must take part in the Trials of the Fortunate and ascend to Acolyte or perish in the process.
