Following the Battle of the Horseshoe, a new chapter in the Dark War unfolded with King Elliott's relentless pursuit of power, relying once more on Elcant's shadowy prowess. Entrusted with three daunting tasks, Elcant set his sights on Balor in Smiwell, swiftly invading the fort and clashing with Balor in a deadly duel, ultimately eliminating Anfal's kin. Turning to Lisena, Elcant stormed the capital, Mossden, bringing the swamp nation under Elliott's grip despite Lioloth's narrow escape. His final mission took him to Ellismeda, where he faced Draconna, leader of the Crystal Dragons, in a fierce battle. Through cunning tactics, Elcant secured the allegiance of the dragons, returning triumphant to Elliott after eliminating Balor, weakening Lisena, and gaining the Crystal Dragons' support in the Conquest of the Dragon Isles. Elcant's dark undertakings marked a foreboding shift, casting shadows across the archipelago as a harbinger of the unfolding darkness in the war's imminent stages.

In the wake of the Battle of the Horseshoe, a new chapter unfolded—a chapter stained with the shadows of deceit and the gleam of dragon scales. King Elliott, driven by the relentless pursuit of power, sought to bolster his forces and expand his dominion. To achieve this, he turned once again to the services of Elcant, the shadowy merchant who had proven his mettle in the conquest of Valtara.   Elcant, entrusted with a trio of daunting tasks, established his base of operations in the bustling city of Everton on the vibrant island of Liverley. The threefold mission began with the elimination of Balor, brother to Anfal and a potential threat to Elliott's ambitions. Balor's stronghold on Smiwell, a haven for his alchemical experiments, became the first target in Elcant's campaign.   Swiftly moving his forces, Elcant invaded Balor's Fort on Smiwell. The clash was fierce, with Elcant's army descending upon the city while the merchant himself confronted Balor in a deadly duel. Despite Balor's alchemical prowess, his skills were no match for Elcant's combat expertise. The clash ended in the demise of Balor, extinguishing the last flicker of resistance from Anfal's kin.   With Balor's demise echoing across Smiwell, Elcant turned his attention to Lisena, the swamp nation ruled by the gnoll Lioloth. Intent on weakening Elliott's opposition, Elcant and his forces stormed the island of Mossden, the capital city of Lisena. The swampy terrain proved to be a challenging battleground, yet Elcant's strategic prowess prevailed as Mossden, the capital, fell under his relentless onslaught.   Lioloth, the resilient ruler of Lisena, managed a narrow escape, gathering a handful of loyal lizardmen as they fled the besieged capital. The conquest of Lisena marked another triumph for Elcant, leaving the swamp nation in disarray.   The final leg of Elcant's mission led him to Ellismeda, the island home of the majestic Crystal Dragons. Seeking to secure these powerful allies for Elliott, Elcant faced an unexpected adversary—Draconna, the leader of the Crystal Dragons. The fierce dragon queen fiercely defended her domain, proving to be a formidable opponent even for Elcant's cunning tactics.   In a battle that shook the very foundations of Ellismeda, Elcant, through sheer determination and strategic brilliance, managed to outsmart Draconna, dealing a significant blow that forced her to retreat. Seizing the opportunity, Elcant secured the allegiance of the Crystal Dragons and began the journey back to Everton.   With Balor eliminated, Lisena weakened, and the Crystal Dragons under his command, Elcant returned triumphant to Elliott, concluding the Conquest of the Dragon Isles. The shadows of Elcant's machinations stretched ever darker across the archipelago, setting the stage for the unfolding darkness that loomed on the horizon.
