Lloth, Demon Queen of Spiders

What I want… is my mother's heart fed to demons and shat out for my amusement!
— Vhaeraun, on Lolth
Disaffected Drow view Lloth as a demanding and unforgiving deity who expects unwavering loyalty and adherence to her strict teachings. Her worship is associated with a culture of violence, backstabbing, and treachery, where survival often depends on one's ability to outmaneuver and dominate others. The rituals and ceremonies dedicated to Lloth often involve bloodshed and sacrifices, perpetuating a cycle of cruelty and fear.   Many Drow feel the weight of Lloth's curse, which has plagued their race with a dark appearance and a predisposition towards malice and evil. They resent being forced into a life of secrecy and constant struggle, and they hold Lloth responsible for their societal oppression and the animosity they face from other races.   In the eyes of disaffected Drow, Lloth is often seen as a malevolent force that must be resisted and challenged. They yearn to break free from her oppressive grip, seeking a future where they can embrace their own individuality, free will, and the potential for a different kind of Drow society—one that is not defined by darkness, violence, and subservience.
Station is the way of Lolth, the ambition she bestows to further the chaos, to keep her drow "children" along their appointed course of self imprisonment.

    Religious event

When the elves began arriving in Toril through Fey Gates around -27000 DR, the dark elves quickly established the first large-scale elven kingdom to survive a world ruled by dragons.   Ilythiir was an expansionist country, that started in the southern jungles and spread throughout southern Faerûn during the Dawn Age. It experienced another period of expansion during the First Flowering, during which it spread across the areas later known as the Shaar and Forest of Amtar.   Ilythiir was a nation that institutionalized slavery. After Syòrpiir, Eiellûr and Thearnytaar fell in the face of Ilythiir's strength, the moon and wild elves were enslaved.   Vhaeraun was worshipped among the Ilythiir above all other deities.

Over the course of two months, weakness against sunlight and/or the efforts of the other elven nations drove them into the Underdark and the mighty surface kingdom of Ilythiir collapsed.
