Lord Vazios Alberto Vièra, Agent of Pride
Vazios Alberto Vièra is a devil, and one of the Seven Sins. His sin is Pride.
The symbol of pride is an image of an ear with an X over it. The Weapon of Pride is a rapier with an intricate golden basket guard.
At the moment, Vazios has no long-term goals or aspirations.
Physical Description
Vazios is tall and slim, with little visible muscle mass to speak of.
- Pride Embodiment: As the Sin of Pride, Vazios possesses the following abilities:
- Arrogance Inducement: Vazios can cause a person to become overly arrogant and sure of their own abilities, leading them to do things or pick fights that they would otherwise think twice about.
- Control and Possession Immunity: As a result of his indomitable pride and ego, Vazios's consciousness will reject any form of control attempted on him. (He is usually not aware of any attempts as a result.)
- Self-Hatred Inducement: Vazios has the ability to induce self-hatred in others, to make them see themselves as inferior to him.
- Supernatural Condition: As a devil, Vazios possesses several natural boosts:
- Supernatural Strength, Type III: Vazios has godlike strength, able to lift whole skyscrapers and destroy mountains.
- Supernatural Speed, Type II: Vazios is able to move incredibly fast, becoming invisible to the naked eye. He can outpace any form of transportation that currently exists.
- Supernatural Reflexes: Vazios can react to an attack or movement many times faster than even an elf.
- Supernatural Perception/Detection: Vazios is able to sense life force, magical signatures and heat signatures, allowing nothing to evade his notice.
- Supernatural Senses: Vazios's sense of hearing, smell, sight, and touch are greatly heightened compared to all other races.
- Transcendent Umbramancy: Vazios's magical abilities and power are on the level of a minor god.
Vazios commonly wears a white dress shirt, unbuttoned to the first or second button, with black dress pants and shoes.
Vazios's weapon of choice is the Weapon of Pride, a rapier with an intricate golden basket guard.
Mental characteristics
Vazios was born not long after the death of the original Pride. As an imp, Vazios was always flamboyant, prideful and smug, and when it came time for him to evolve, he retained these qualities, all the way through to his devil evolution. In school, he often flirted with female students, and gained a significant following through his education. However, his grades were terrible, and he didn't pay much attention in class, preferring to boast about himself or cater to his fans, much to the rest of the school's annoyance. He was promptly expelled when he failed his grade for the sixth year in a row, but after some time, he didn't seem to care much about his education anymore. He instead spent most of his time trying to gain the attention of the many succubi in Hell, and, in addition the following he had already had in school, his popularity skyrocketed all around Hell as many of the succubi fell for him, going so far as to establish an official fanclub somewhere in Hell, although where isn't exactly known.
With all his womanizing, he inevitably got into many conflicts with succubi that already had partners, or the family of said succubi. However, to their dismay, Vazios was more than competent in combat, something he had picked up on his own time, after his expulsion. Despite enraging his fellow devils, few of them could best him, often leading to their partners leaving them for Vazios instead.
At some point, Vazios reached out to
Deremos Graham Avencia, a wealthy devil on the rise, and convinced him to help Vazios open a network of brothels and nightclubs, helping to boost Vazios's popularity (and his bottomless ego) even further. Amidst his new success, the symbol of Pride appeared above Vazios's head: a picture of an ear, with an X over it — automatically making him an Overlord of Hell. This led him to meet the other Sins, whose reactions ranged from vague annoyance to downright disgust or hatred, much to his dismay. Still, he would not be discouraged, and in the present day, Vazios spends much of his time either trying to gain his comrades' approval, running his clubs, or adding new female devils to his ever-growing harem, most of whom are part of his fanclub.
Vazios's education is relatively bare, due to his expulsion at an early grade. However, he has done his own research on combat, leading him to be highly skilled in a pinch.
Vaziosis currently employed as the Sin of Pride, and as an Overlord of Hell.
- Gained a massive following thanks to multiple factors in his life; fanclub is made up of mostly succubi
- Became the Sin of Pride
- Became an Overlord of Hell
- Faced rejection from the other Sins almost immediately upon his introduction
Vazios has little regard for things that won't make him more popular, and frequently spends time thinking of how he can gain even further acclaim from his fellow devils. In combat, he displays surprising honor, refusing to attack an opponent that is disadvantaged, exposed, or otherwise preoccupied. It is unclear if this is because he genuinely wants a fair fight, or if his fairness is simply another ploy to make him look good in front of others.
Vazios will never attack a downed or disadvantaged opponent in combat.
Personality Characteristics
At the moment, Vazios is only concerned with making himself more popular. Thus, the Fifth Circle usually is attended by lower demons under his command, rather than Vazios himself.
Vazios is unusually skilled at getting people to like or adore him. He is quite skilled with the Weapon of Pride. Nevertheless, resisting his natural charisma is possible for some, and there are some individuals who he cannot charm no matter what.
Likes: Beautiful things, being adored, dancing, peacocks, popularity, sex, women
Dislikes: Being hated, education/schooling, people who are well-educated
Vazios will never attack an opponent he feels is at a disadvantage, even if they are an angel or mortal enemy.
Vazios is incredibly vain, and his ego knows no bounds. He sees himself as the most handsome devil to walk the halls of Hell, and is constantly obssessed with his appearance.
Social
The other Sins are Vazios's comrades, and in particular, Deremos is a business partner. Vazios is the direct foil of Vervios, the Virtue of Humility. Erebos, the God of Darkness, is his true father, but they are estranged.
The God of Darkness, Erebos, is his biological father, but he is estranged from him.
Vazios is incredibly extroverted, and will usually take full control of any social gathering if not stopped.
Vazios is very animated while speaking, often adding flourishes with his hands or speaking in a dramatic tone of voice.

At some point, Vazios reached out to Deremos to assist him in creating a chain of brothels and nightclubs, both inside Hell and out. Reluctantly, Deremos agreed, deciding that the potential profit outweighed Vazios's grating personality.

History
Vazios and Neikona became "allies" when Vazios joined the Seven Sins. Although she puts up a pleasant front for Vazios, Neikona despises him as much as her fellow Sins do, and regularly rejects his advances (which doesn't discourage him in the slightest).

History
Vazios and Rylitus became "allies" when Vazios joined the Seven Sins. Rylitus is probably the Sin that hates Vazios the most, and has killed him on several occasions, sometimes inside of Hell, which could potentially have ended in Vazios's true death. However, each time, Vazios survived, much to Rylitus's chagrin. Vazios has a market distaste for Rylitus, and sees him as ugly and ungraceful, as well as a brute.

History
Aelera and Vazios became "allies" when she joined the Seven Sins. Vazios sees Aelera's behavior as profoundly unattractive, and has no trouble telling her so, which Aelera either completely ignores, or responds with a threat to eat Vazios whole, much to his terror.

History
Selena and Vazios became "allies" when Selena joined the Seven Sins. Selena is highly envious of Vazios's extroverted nature, as well as his ever-growing harem of succubi. Vazios finds Selena's hatred and envy of others unattractive, and constantly mocks her for being unable to find any friends or a partner.
