Traj'miir

The owner and proprietor of Traj'miir's Knick-Knacks and Curiosities.

Traj'miir is an older-looking human male, who travels by foot with a door strapped to his back. He is cheerful, and speaks in a Middle-Eastern accent. Traj'miir's shop is entirely extraplanar, and is accessed by planting the door he carries on his back into the ground and opening it. The interior is a veritable wonder emporium of half-finished inventions, magical potions, weapons and sets of armor, and nearly anything a gold-laden traveling adventurer could desire. Traj'miir travels by foot with his door until he finds a traveller interested in his wares, and when their transaction is finished, his door teleports him somewhere entirely new. He claims to have been all across The Fogs in this manner, and does not stay in any one area for very long. During Traj'miir's first encounter with Soular Power, he casually mentioned that Ragnar Volaris himself - not one of his Clones, but Ragnar himself - had raided his shop on multiple occasions in an attempt to confiscate his magical wonders, and that Traj'miir had escaped unscathed and unmolested every time.

FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH SOULAR POWER

The Soular Power Caravan encountered Traj'miir as they were settling in for their second night on the road after departing Stalwartz towards Streamwalk.1 The group was wary as he approached, but Traj'miir quickly disarmed Fritz's caution with his joyful and friendly demeanor - and, of course, the lure of magical and technological wonders for sale.

SHOPPING

Inside the shop, both Fritz and Jalan perused the shop for goodies and inquired about magical items in their own possession. Traj'miir presented to them both the Blood Scryer Oculus and Artificer's Goggles, and identified Jalan's Armor of Overconfidence, an unidentified bronze ring in Fritz's possession, and the late Roger Deathbane's Inheritor Full Plate and Greatsword of the Inheritor. Upon learning that the Artifacts of the Inheritor could not be safely used without their curse of fierce loyalty to Ragnar endangering the wearer, and upon learning of Traj'miir's curiosity regarding the set, Fritz offered to loan the set to Traj'miir to study. They made an agreement: were he able to remove the curse, he would contact Fritz before putting the set up for public sale. Fritz gave Traj'miir a nostalgic knick-knack from her childhood - a clockwork toy, one of the first thing's she'd ever constructed - to aid in future divination efforts and give Traj'miir an avenue to locate her again. Seeing her also look longingly at the Artificer's Goggles, instead of naming a price, Traj'mirr suggested a trade - for one of the powerful artifacts in her possession. One of her...Millennium Artifacts, perhaps.

NEGOTIATIONS

While Jalan distracted himself looking for items to steal, Fritz made it clear she desired a private conversation with Traj'miir, and he instantly teleported them into a bright white room, a "negotiating chamber", sparsely but very nicely decorated, and food provided. There, they hashed out the terms of a deal. Fritz primarily wanted to get some of the Artifacts out of her own hands, as she knew carrying them around Creeh was like wearing a target on her and the Caravan's back, but she was loathe to entrust them to just anyone. After some negotiations, Traj'miir pulled out an Artifact-tier contract - once made between a god and some devils, which he'd painstakingly cleared for his own use - and they agreed on terms.

Fritz handed over the Millennium Scales and the Bronze Ring of Unknown Necromancy, and Traj'miir handed over the Artificer's Goggles. Traj'miir would keep the Scales in his personal collection, would not display or sell them to anyone, until the Contract was burned by its owner (whom he designated as Fritz), or until he was otherwise instructed by the owner.

This deal was kept hidden from the rest of the Caravan. Ostensibly, Fritz traded the Bronze Ring of Unknown Necromancy and some coin for the Artificer's Goggles. She keeps the Contract well hidden within her portfolio of schematics, and checks in with it often.

EXPEDITIOUS GOODBYE

Immediately after signing the Contract, before Fritz had a chance to negotiate for the safekeeping of another Artifact, a sharp ding rang out and Traj'miir announced that his shop was about to teleport. He ushered her and Jalan out the front door quickly - though Jalan with multiple mishaps, as he discovered with dismay that all of Traj'miir's knick-knacks which he'd shoved into his pockets had enchantments placed on them which prevented shoplifting in an explosive and entertaining way. After multiple failed attempts, Jalan was forced to clean up his mess and exit the shop in shame.
