Risi (Ree-Cee)

The Risi is an ancient tribe of fiendish creatures that live along the outskirts of Jordsvik. The Risi consist of many sensient creatures that tend to be fiendish by nature. Those races include giants, yeti, imps, goliaths, and other feinds. They live in the frozen wilds in packs ranging from just a few members to several thousand. The Risi are a nomatic race that follows ever changing pattern of wild game in the region the survive. The Risi have long tormented the people of Jordsvik. Long ago they occupied the land and the other races were forced to live in caves in the wild to survive until Egil the Bold rose an army to resist them. They were forced out of the land of where Raven's Ford is now built. When mountain herds are abundant, Risi stay clear of humanoid realms. Driven by hunger, they attack humanoid settlements in waves, breaking down gates and stockade walls that once might have daunted them, then devouring the creatures within.
