Ruta Basania (ROO-tuh Bah-SAHN-ya)
Risho
Ruta was the daughter of Orine and Delenien Basania, the younger sister of Scedal, and the mother of Ryuut. She was a member of the Nalir during the War of the Six, and served under her mother during her time as a Jal. Unlike her mother and brother, she did not achieve any rank beyond a Risho or exhibit any particular talent, which Orine would later recollect as a matter of some embarrassment to Ruta.
Ruta died during the Battle at the Qos Spear. In the absence of Ryuut's father, Orine now raises him.
