Ryuut Basania (Ree-YUTE Bah-SAHN-ya)
Ryuut is the young son of the late Ruta Basania; after she died in the Battle at the Qos Spear his grandmother Orine Basania took custody of him and, following the war's end and her quasi-retirement from the military proper, has begun raising him.
Ruta was adamant about not knowing who Ryuut's father was, though whether this is the truth or if she was simply hiding his identity remains unclear to Orine; regardless, no father has stepped forward and she does not expect them to. Indeed, she is finding much fulfilment in raising him in the absence of her husband and children, and the two have a loving relationship.
