The Order of Magi
Arcane magic is almost unknown throughout the world, but those who do wish to uncover the secrets of magic in a reputable setting make their way to The Magi Tower to learn what few secrets have been uncovered. Those that stick with it become known as magi and are inducted formally into the Order, and many of those then take to travelling, making names for themselves as advisors to those that can afford their magical services.

The Order of Magi would not exist without the support of Taranthia, and both parties know it.

Vandoori traders provide a vital lifeline to The Magi Tower - providing key supplies and materials for their studies that Taranthia may not.
Occasionally The Order of Magi will require something for their studies that only a smuggler can provide - and sometimes it is worth footing the steep price that The Cuttle and Bone Company offers.
Cryingrock has no business with The Order of Magi, and tends to steer clear of their waters.
The Church of Andus has no need for the mysticism and arcane study of The Order of Magi - though they don't hold that against them
