House Bailey (Half-Halfs)

There may not be a more speculated and mysterious house as that of House Bailey. The Lords of Stagford and the Dernall Forest, their seat of power is the forested town of Doncastle.
The half-halfs as they are sometimes called are a great yet diminutive family of humans.  This may be due to the founding couple being between a taller halfling man Erfire Bailey and the shorter human matriarch Twyla Cobb.
A diamond in the rough, the House Bailey was given little support when they were charged with the Dernall some 70 years ago. Infact, there are historians that remarked at the time that the house was placed in the Dernall to fail and hopefully fade into memory. Halflings though numerous have very little standing aside from the administrative in the UMI, so to have a family finally ascend to Lordship was controversial and celebrated at the time. Astoundingly, the halfling house still hold sway in the Dernall to this day... even surviving the incursions that led to the Green War.
"Ever growing" is a motto of the family due to their history of making the best of situations and a slight on the lips of others at their diminutive stature.
