The Old Gods
This world has long been ruled by ancient, primordial things. History is a graveyard of their pagan rites and untidy mythologies, full of contradictions and half-truths dressed up as sacred ceremony. The advent of organized religion sweeping across the Continent, and later Banteave, has relegated the Old Gods to the spiritual sidelines as their old adherents die off or flock to join the congregations of the new churches. Of the many Old Gods that populated Banteave and the world, The Red Sisters are one of the few that have managed to retain most of their following, owing to their unified traditions and fervent followers.
