Arun the First
Arun was born an elf and lived a normal life as a scholar until his untimely death by a stray hunter's arrow in the year 140. His soul wandered the Lordasan Aether for years until the Ascended Heroes made contact with him during their attempts to find a way to complete the challenges of the Loredasan Creators.
Due to his assistance and the deal he made, Adam Faera was requested to find a way to bring him out of the Aether. This led to him contacting mages and engineers to build Arun the first Soulforged body. Upon his return to the realm of the living he assisted the Arcadian forces in the Battle of Mysdia, killing the Weaver Ravena.
He attempted to return home only to find that his family had moved on without him. They accepted him back but he could not help but feel out of place. He eventually returned to Adam Faera, becoming a friend and close ally of his. When the need for trusted adventurers to lead the expedition beyond the boundaries of Loredas, Arun was selected as the captain of the Lark.
The ill fated voyage ended with Balimor reaching his will directly into Ares once they reached the edge of Loredas where he could see them. With the other survivors Jeager and Serrure Luxord they expunged the will of Balimor from Ares, but he knew it would just find another host. Arun took the power into himself and cast himself off the edge of Loredas, killing him on impact with the ground.
His body was eventually recovered by Nalfien of the House of the Rising Tide and brought it back to his home as an artifact of Balimor. Due to machinations of Asch Figthorn his body was recovered by the Godkillers to assist in moving through corruption, though its true purpose was to be returned to the heart of Balimor to truly awaken the god of destruction.
