Jeager

Born into the upper echelons of the military caste in Randgriz, he was trained as an officer of the Randgriz army as he approached adulthood. He was a successful leader for his first year in the field before he refused to have his company march on a poor unarmed fishing village in Palmon. To avoid court marshall he found himself chartering a ship to the west that landed him in Liberus.   While there he caught the attention of Thaler when foiling a terrorist attack on the main square and was joined to be one of the mob boss's enforcers to keep Caeladonian interests out of the city.   Failing to stop the Manadrop  incident, his was destroyed with the rest of Liberus. He returned there to stop St. Edward from bringing an embodiment of corruption into the world, even taking a near fatal lightning bolt to protect Seven.   After helping to save the world he was offered a home in Arcadia via Thaler's friend Adam Faera. His connections with Thaler's business also allowed him to distribute his personally invented card game Danger Demons. With Seven he fathered Serrure Luxord though fear of imposing his own history on his son like his childhood was, made him reluctant to enter his son's life. He instead chose to live nearby keeping an emotional distance from his son but always close enough to watch him.   During that time an old friend that he and Seven made while they were Thaler's Enforcers, Samuel Eshpard, became their neighbor when he moved in with and married Celeste Carillion who was the aunt of a friend of Serrures'. He and Sam spent many a night drinking and swapping adventure stories before Thaler called on old contacts to staff the ships going on an expedition beyond the known waters of Loredas.   Pulling strings to ensure he would be on the same ship as his son, who had also been selected as a magitech engineer; Jeager joined the doomed Voyage to the edge of the known world. One of the four survivors to make it to the edge along with his son and Arun the First, they fought their fellow survivor Ares who was taken by the power of Balimor, and reluctantly had to leave Arun behind to save the rest of them.   After they returned to the Sapphire Isles, Jeager revealed to his son who he was to him, resolving to be there for him from then on after the harrowing experience he was also one of the people to deliver the news to Sam that his son died after stowing away on their ship. Jeager was among the last people to see Sam on Loredas before his return decades later.   Jeager then went on to support his son and granddaughter and continued advancing his Danger Demons card business with his son's help. When the war of Balimor ended and his daughter-in-law Ottova Luxord fell in battle, Jeager tried to be there for his son through his trauma but it was more than the new widower could handle. When Serrure ran off Jeager stayed to make sure his granddaughter would have support.   Years later, Aria came home from her adventure with Aien Yinvyre with her lost father in tow and Jeager welcomed them back, and welcomed Aien into the family with open arms. Serrure even came home with a unique design for magical spells using Danger Demons Cards that Jeager was happy to capitalize on when Aien revealed that they had seized those assets of his former boss so that Danger Demons would return to the family that invented it.   Jeager buried Seven in the Luxord family mausoleum on Loredas before the family moved to Haven at the Fortune Networks headquarters and he have Serrure control over the future of Danger Demons so that he could finally peacefully retire. He currently spends his days worrying about his great granddaughter Whis Luxord.
