Dacen Nothius

Dacen was born to a poor mother with no knowledge of who his father was (though his later claim to the throne was supported by theories that he was the bastard son of the late King of Arcadia. During his time wandering the outskirts of Arcadia he came across the Dragonling Archimedes who quickly became a close friend of his as his guardian. 
Dacen and Karyb became friends during their teenage years, eventually starting an adventuring party with Crimson and Roderic Gaspard. Early in their careers they were even able to defeat an Elder Demon though Roderic used that opportunity to run away with its soul and enact his plan as a Corrupted Invader. He also served with the rest of his friends as a parental figure to the young Samuel Eshpard.
The group was noticed by Adam Faera who Dacen greatly admired. During their time working for Faera, they would run into Roderic several more times with Dacen desperately trying to get his friend to rejoin them. When his betrayal was revealed Dacen was willing to forgive him if he would give up his crusade. Devoted to his cause they were forced to kill Roderic, but Dacen promised he would find a way to save his world.
In the coming years he would be trained by Adam Faera with Sam, in magical arts and matters of state as Faera was looking for a successor. To his surprise, he found himself falling for Dacen and a romance began in those years before the he would ultimately leave his teacher and friends to search for his own purpose, leaving Archimedes with Sam.
During his time wandering Loredas he would rescue a young Vauldin and teach him much of what he knew as a ranger. He would eventually return to Amielos to investigate the death of Adam Faera and secretly started a rebellion against the usurper Maximilian Caelos V. He would assist Maximilian's Killers in getting into the palace to get his revenge. 
After the throne was left empty and Faera's spirit was free to reunite with Dacen, he told his former pupil that the throne was his destiny to take. Between Faera's teachings and the guidance of his spirit, his position as the leader of the rebellion, and the divine support Dacen took the Crystal Crown and leadership of Arcadia. 
Turret returned to him in his twilight years as the royal guardian. As he got older, not wanting another issue of secession for his home, he adopted the young Elf Mia Nothius. On his death leadership passed to his daughter peacefully as she continued his legacy.
