Sona Luxord-Vlatson
Born with her twin brother Mercury as heirs to Fortune Networks, expectations have always been high for Sona. She has devoted her life to studying academic topics, the glamour spells that her family is famous for, and a deep understanding of her family's company. Always close with her brother, and also often taken care of by their great uncle Lambert Wilks and Lady Morgana; and spending much of their childhoods with Legato, Serenade, and the rest of the Littlefoot litter adopted by Lambert and Morgana.
Sona has always been the smart, social, business minded one of the twins. The high expectations of her lineage has given her high expectations for herself that she always strives to meet.
The family often stayed with Aien Yinvyre to learn about Fortune Networks and eventually to assist with the establishment of Crow's Fort, and soon after got involved with investigating his disappearance.
Sona is the older twin, and that's all that matters. Sure, she was missing for eight months so he's technically older now, but now he's missing and had better also experience weird timey-wimey things for at least the same amount of time. She and the rest of the rest of the The Heroes of Crow's Fort; after finding out about Mercury Luxord-Vlatson's evil deeds watched on as Lokir and Legato Littlefoot killed her twin brother.
The death of her brother weighed heavily upon Sona, though it had little to do with the fact that it had also brought about the apocalypse. Lost without the companion she’d had nearly her entire life (after all, she *is* the older twin) and wracked with guilt over not preventing his death, she set out to find any way to return him to life from the Aether, Abyss, or wherever he may be, no matter the cost.
In her travels, she soon came across Escher, whose experiences with the Deep could probe invaluable in locating and rescuing Mercury. Though full trust in the vampire is still lacking, she is willing to work with him if it means seeing her brother safe and sound again. If saving the world happens to occur, so be it, but it’s not high on her priority list at the moment.
Because of his role alongside Legato in killing Mercury, Sona sees Lokir as something of an enemy, or at least not to be trusted. However, she must admit that he seems to have changed as well. She isn’t entirely sure, though, that he didn’t at least in part name his slaughter-bound pet pig he carries with him after her, and she isn’t sure how to feel about that whole thing.
