The Eternal Oracle
Before the Dremoran continent was threatened by the rise of the Dread King, Dysis was born in the mountains of Caliban and bound in servitude to the Red Dragon Clan, a prize as a khalashtar. Yet, when her prophetic abilities manifested, not even the Red Maw could refuse Caliban – supported by 4 mighty Greatwyrms – when he demanded she be relinquished to his service. Her fate was to be an Oracle and then, later, to serve as the High Oracle. According to Caliban, Dysis was one of (if not the) greatest weaver of the red thread he had ever known. Yet, even the most powerful of Oracles are blind to their own path. She crossed the continent, commissioned swords, befriended the Bhediya and their leader Soyolmaa, and entered the religious service of the Golden Spirit of Luck, Judas.
Despite being Judas' Beloved, Dysis harbored no love for him... at least not the romantic kind. Still, she and Judas found common ground in a pursuit of history and the question of the Barrier. While Dysis pursued texts and artifacts, Judas sought outside forces: The Void. Destruction was now inevitable. Dysis realized where her soul was now bound and who truly was moving the pieces on the game board of Dremora. While many would have crumbled, she resolved to play the game like none had before. However, she failed to find the players and pieces to move. For the prophetic game is difficult even for Oracles. For there were rules to uncover... and the enemy plays without remorse or feeling... only for their own entertainment.
Near the "end", Dysis was nothing more than the titles she carried. The burdens of her gifts relegated her to a prized piece that could not afford to falter. Her passions were forgotten. Her health was sacrified. And when the time came, she did what needed to be done. She rallied the pantheon against the very god she served, brought them to the doorsteps of her city, and then commandeered their power. With it, she shattered Judas' soul and used the combined strength of Judas' death and the combined power of the pantheon to bind away The Void. Binding the Greatwyrm of Time with the red thread, she trapped the City of Fortune within a time bubble, protecting and shielding the souls of Judas' Court that would have otherwise perished.
Now, Dysis serves as the second tether for The Void – saved and restored by the efforts of The Deep End. She, however, did not choose to remain on Dremora. After the Battle of the Barrier, Dysis departed to face the threats from the miasma-covered continent across the sea. There, she assists The Void in upholding its oath and hopes to one day serve her rightful penance for the death of Judas, the pain she cuased Caliban, and the turmoil the continent faced due to her failings.

Relationships
History
The relationship between The Void (Annanias) and Dysis was both foretold by the red thread and purely chance. Upon tethering to Judas, the Void absorbed Judas' inclination to love and care for his Beloved: Dysis. Yet, not knowing how to act and occupying another's body, The Void and Dysis danced around once another like two planets in orbit... until they were suddenly on opposing sides of an ideological war, moving pieces in a very real war. Now, with tragedy behind them, Dysis and Anannais are forever intertwined, united and complete. As Dysis once shattered The Void, it will inevitably shatter her... a love doomed from the moment it began, held in stasis only by the will of the Game.
History
Long ago, when Dysis was still serving as the High Oracle, she and Caliban would drink sake under the moonlight. They would talk of all matters and affairs as they watched the tides come in. Now, after thinking he had lost his close friend for 1,000 years, Dysis and Caliban remain friends, albeit still incredibly physically distant.
