Junii Empire

Culture

Junii culture places large emphasis on military tradition, human superiority, control and restriction of magick, and venerating the emperor as a god amongst men. In the beginning of the empires history, this was merely ideological dogma, but as the empires grip over it's people has tightened, these ideologies have slowly been transformed into legal decrees.   Other more positive aspects of Junii culture revolve around loyalty to state and to family, and to work together to create a safe and proseperous society for all.   Before the formation of the empire, the house of Junii and there home province XXX always had a culture that stood in stark contrast with the DUCHIES . After the conclusion of the The Succession Wars, the Junii took great steps to instill Junii culture in all provinces of the empire, while repressing the previously existing ideals of chivalry and duty to the local lord/count/baron.   This cultural transformation is constantly ongoing, with various degrees of success. Settlements and populations closer to the Junii capital, namehere, have been more successfully indoctrinated, whereas more fringe provinces and settlements still have elements within them that view the Junii ideology as invasive and foreign.
New ways to make the Junii ideology more digestable for the masses is dreamt up by the @minister of propaganda, while the infamous Royal Guard enforces it's will.   A notable attempt to coerce social and cultural change is making it much more socially acceptable for the ruling elite to speak the Junii's own language, Lexica. This has resulted in noble families educating there young on how to speak the language so they can fit in with high-society, which has furthered the divide between the ruling classes and the lower classes.   The junii's militarised patriotic culture is revered by it's most loyal citizens, but is seen with fear and caution from other civilised peoples. While the empire wields a significant amount of geopolitical power, there are many eyes abroad that view the empire as there most dangerous potential adversary.

History

The formation of the Junii Empire occured shortly after the conclusion of the The Succession Wars. The birth of the empire is considered by many historians and scholars to be the main factor for the geopolitical situation that exists today.

Military

The Junii military is a colossal and complex war machine, which relies on traditional infantry formation tactics, availability of manpower, and the experience of it's veterans to cease ground from the enemy.

Conquest and dominion are important factors in keeping the empire unified. The earliest emperors realised this, and conquered the western duchies with an imperialistic aggression that has never been seen before. These conflicts early in the empires history created a strong core of battle hardened soldiers, and experienced generals and tacticians, two factors that have produced one of the most disciplined and feared military forces the mortal kingdoms have ever seen.

The Junii military is split into three main divisions, each with their own specific purpose, recruitment criteria, and availability of equipment.

These divisions are the lightly equipped Auxilia, it's primary military force the Legion, and the elite Royal Guard
