Adventure Report

An Adventure Report is a document written by one or more members of an Adventuring Party which summarizes a foray into The Wilds. It may be written during the adventure itself, but can only be published after the Party returns to a Sanctuary. None of the characters in a Party will receive any XP or other rewards for their adventure until at least one player submits a suitable Adventure Report to the GM. A player who authors a quality report will receive a small amount of bonus XP. Completed Adventure Reports may be found at the List of Adventure Reports.

Adventure Reports need not be lengthy, nor do they need to include every detail of what the Party did during their adventure. Indeed, most adventures can be adequately summarized in a single paragraph. The only information a report must include in order to be published is:

  • The Date(s) on which the adventure took place.
  • A list of characters who participated in the adventure.
  • The Party's destination(s) in the Wilds.
  • What goal(s) the Party hoped to accomplish.
  • Whether the Party succeeded in accomplishing its goal(s).
  • A list of any Dungeons or Resource Nodes the Party discovered (players may not "hide" such discoveries from one another by excluding them from Adventure Reports).

If a Party learned previously unknown information about a location, historical event, or other topic in the course of their adventure, they may include this in their report(s) as well, in which case the article for that topic will be updated to include the new information. Generally, articles will only be updated with new details if they are included in an Adventure Report. The GM will not correct factual errors in a report except for the required information listed above. Therefore, it is possible for a report and, by extension, any articles referencing it, to contain misleading or false information. If a future Party discovers such an error, they may correct it by including more accurate information in their own report(s).
