Gordion
Gordion is a ruined city of the Archaean Empire, located in the Marcellan Plains. Like the rest of the Empire, it was ravaged by The Plague-Death and was lost on 3/20/211, following an eight-day battle between the undead and the city's defenders. Its remaining population fled south into the Red Mountains, where they joined with surviving Archaean soldiers to form the Legio Milles.
Gordion was an imperial fortress-city and, at the time of its destruction, had stood for approximately 700 years. At its peak, it housed between 80,000 and 90,000 inhabitants and was a major commercial hub responsible for collecting foodstuffs from the surrounding farmlands and distributing them across the Empire's interior. At present, it remains infested by undead, which the Legio estimates to be around 50,000 in number.
