Red Mountains
The Red Mountains (known as the "Mons Glauci" or "Mountains of Glaucus" in Archaean) are a mountain range in The New World located northeast of the Ilaruhan River, Ceefar Grasslands, and Fal'ithri Woods and southwest of the Marcellan Plains. In clear weather, the mountains are visible from Gatefall, but they were first explored on 9/8/213 by Djinn, Günther, Helena, Myth, Petra, and Ranaghar.
The Red Mountains lie at the heart of the former Archaean Empire and are strewn with Imperial ruins. Explorers have also discovered sites from older civilizations, such as Anja's Folly and Günther's Fall, indicating that the region has been inhabited for at least 2000-3000 years. Its current denizens include the soldiers and refugees of the Legio Milles, various tribes of Harpies and Ogres, and the Silver Dragon, Baerithyn Rex.
