Legio Milles
The Legio Milles ("Thousandth Legion" or, colloquially, "Last Legion" in Archaean) is a remnant of the Archaean Empire, made up of soldiers and refugees who survived the fall of
Gordion. The Legion maintains a fortified Encampment in the Red Mountains overlooking the ruined city and, ultimately, seeks to reclaim it from the The Plague-Death. Its exact structure and leadership are unknown, but Tacitus Nolar appears to hold significant authority and is responsible for diplomatic relations with the Gatefall colonists. The Legion's emblem is a white eagle on red clasping the Latian letter "M" (which signifies the number "1000") in its talons.
Diplomatic relations between Gatefall and the Legio Milles were initiated on 2/14/214 by Anja, Eagrym, Günther, Ivellios, Lyudmila, and Ranaghar. The Party subsequently escorted Appius Nolar back to Gatefall to serve as the Legion's official ambassador. The Legio Milles also maintains relations with the Dragonborn of Tymanchebar, who have provided it with material aid in its struggle to retake Gordion.
