The queen of Kiofthotre tends to be the de facto ruler of the land. She remains in a union with the king, but it is more of a practical partnership than a functioning marriage. She still loves the king, but her priorities are on attempting to administer as much of the kingdom as possible despite the interference of the lich and the myriad threats outside of the borderlands.
