Knights of Glory

The Knights of Glory (also commonly known as the KoG) are an order of knights who serve House Draven in Myrefall. While every member is a Knight of Glory, not every member is formally a knight. Knighthood is a rank of great respect granted to men and women who have fought long and well in the service of the Knights of Glory.

Specifically, a new recruit is simply considered a soldier and is typically wearing armor that matches this status. A soldier is eligible for knighthood once they have demonstrated unquestionable loyalty to the commander, are known to have participated in at least two missions of great importance, and are renowned for their fighting ability.

A Knight does not need to obey Myrefall's weapon regulations. They can claim shelter from anyone within the Realms of Men . A Knight automatically receives property; a small fief on the outskirts of Myrefall. Finally, a Knight must wear full plate armor and wear the Knights of Glory cloak whenever in public. They must strive for glory, no matter the cost.

The Knights of Glory is a massive military force of around 10,000 strong. There are nearly 100 Knights amongst this army. In a large scale conflict, each Knight leads roughly 100 soldiers. Lieutenants are experienced soldiers on their way to Knighthood who help their Knight manage their battalion. While every Knight has access to at least 100 men, it is rare for them to walk around with their entire battalion in normal circumstances. Most Knights leave the majority of their soldiers to guard their fief with a lieutenant, while they travel with 20-50 soldiers.
