Queen of Darkness

The Queen of Darkness, the sole Unseelie Archfey of The Feywild, is the tyrannical leader of the Court of Gloaming. Her visage is that of a hauntingly beautiful faerie, with stark white skin, pitch-black eyes, and flowing dark hair. She embodies the antithesis of the whimsical and vibrant Feywild, reigning from the darkest corners of the Feydark.

Origins of Corruption

Central to her story is the Gem of Darkness, a nefarious artifact mirroring The Spark's essence. When the duergar of the feydark unearthed this gem, it was first offered to Titania, the Archfey of Summer. Sensing its malevolence, Titania refused it. However, her sister Esmea, driven by envy and desire for power, embraced the gem and its dark influence.
Upon contact, Esmea's spirit was violently expelled as the Gem of Darkness's own sinister spirit took over her body and soul. This catastrophic event birthed the Queen of Darkness, a being of pure evil empowered by the gem's corrupting energy.

Reign of Terror

The Queen of Darkness' subjects include the most malevolent creatures of the Feywild, and her influence spreads fear and despair across the realm.
Her dominion is the Feydark, a twisted and dark reflection of the Feywild above. From here, she plots and schemes, her actions always serving to expand her power and diminish the light of the Seelie Courts.
